wahenga is a Swahili word that means “people you can rely upon to give you good advice”
Wahenga Reporter is the blog of the website wahenga.net. Our aim in both cases is to reach a wide and diverse audience and to encourage that audience to engage in the hunger and vulnerability debate. We hope to attract policy makers and practitioners in governments, donors and NGOs, as well as the people directly affected by hunger and vulnerability. Wahenga Reporter is our blog/newsletter aimed at journalists seeking to report on these issues. wahenga.net pursues a forthright style using plain English and presenting the debate in a way that encourages widespread participation.
